There are a variety of methods available to travel to Martha's Vineyard. If
you choose to bring your vehicle, the only method is the Steamship Authority,
and advance reservations are generally necessary, and required during the
summer sailing period.
In addition to the Steamship, there are also a number of passenger-only vessels
that serve ports on Cape Cod, New Bedford, and Quonset Point in N. Kingstown, Rhode Island.
Commercial airline travel is available to the Vineyard from airports throughout the
Northeast corridor. Many of these carriers operate only on a seasonal basis, so please
call ahead and check their current schedule before you depart.
